AGC Chemicals Europe is joining the inaugural International Composites Summit this September. The summit will focus on the worldwide supply chain as well as on opportunities for sales and growth in the global composites sector.

Open forums will showcase speakers who are invited to share success stories and to discuss the ever expanding market.

AGC Chemicals will present its novel product line of Fluon+™ functionalised melt processable fluoropolymers and highlight their advantages when used in composites. Fluon+™ fluoropolymers can adhere chemically to carbon fibres, glass fibres, selected matrix materials or even metals.

Fluon+™ can also function as an impact modifier or adhesive in sandwich constructions. Blended into a PPS matrix material it can improve ductility, crack resistance and propagation. Used as a matrix by itself, a Fluon+™ composite provides excellent chemical and high temperature resistance, as well as low friction performance. This unique combination of chemical bonding and high performance properties allows the design of new composites with enhanced characteristics.
