The Europe Music Awards 2014, another huge boost to Glasgow’s global profile just a few months after the Commonwealth Games, took place in the SSE Hydro Arena on the night of November 9th.

The annual event was a global celebration of the most popular stars in the music business and was aired globally to an audience of millions.

Stunning lighting shows and pyrotechnics were deployed during the showpiece event, which was being held in Scotland for a second time and was forecasted to generate at least £10 million for the city’s economy.

The spectacular SSE Hydro is only 1 year old; it is a state-of-the-art venue and has a lot of technical features. AGC Chemicals Europe supplied their Fluon® ETFE FILM to this project about 1½ years ago. The SSE Hydro arena, designed by Foster + Partners and Arup Scotland, is one of the most prominent concert and entertainment venues in the UK.
