AGC Chemicals Europe sponsors Fleetwood Town FC & thanks Local Community Partners

Update for the 2018-19 Season:

The company is pleased to be renewing the partnership with Fleetwood Town for the 2018-19 season. The CEO of AGC Chemicals Europe, H. Mori, is proud to continue the support and encourage both employees and business contacts to enjoy the corporate experience in the Parkside Suite at the Highbury ground in Fleetwood.

2017-18 Season:

AGC Chemicals Europe is proud of its ongoing link with Fleetwood Town FC and for the 2017-18 season the company’s new CEO, S. Kato, has decided to share the corporate box experience with some of the company’s close community partners.

At all home games, guests in the AGC Chemicals box enjoy a meal by Twelve before watching the match from allocated seats outside the box. AGC intends to use its box for good purposes and in addition to entertaining employees, customers and suppliers also likes to surprise individuals working for charities or volunteers who do worthwhile local community work with an invitation to enjoy the corporate hospitality experience. The aim is to give something back to those who deserve it and AGC Chemicals’ staff are encouraged to nominate ‘special’ people who go the extra mile doing charitable work. Seats in the box are also occasionally used for charity fund-raiding purposes.

The latest charity to be recognised by employee-nominated ticket donation is North West Blood Bikes. It is a charity that is 100% funded by donations and all volunteers work from home either taking calls from hospitals, calling dispatch riders or riding bikes or cars, making deliveries to NHS hospitals without any charge. Employees at AGC Chemicals first became aware of the charity’s work delivering blood donations, platelets, donor breast milk for premature babies, transplant tissue for matching, medications, samples and urgent medical equipment when one retiring colleague announced that he would be using his motorbike during his retirement to help this charity. AGC employee, Chris Kent, nominated blood bike volunteers that he knows as worthy recipients of the Fleetwood Town FC corporate hospitality tickets from AGC as a small thank you for the work they do. Simon the Scientist of AGC was delighted to meet Lee Townsend, the Vice Chairman from NW Blood Bikes, and learn more about the work of their 300 volunteers.
